Health Kneads Massage Therapy, LLC was founded by Laurel G. Howard, LMT, BCTMB in 1994. Her goal is to offer Professional Massage Therapy to her clients, helping them to reduce stress and muscle tension. Pain reduction and the resulting increase of productivity for clients, continues to be the focus of her practice.
Laurel completed the Massage Therapy Program at Lansing Community College in 1992. She has had additional training in On-Site Chair Massage, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, and Sports Massage.
She accepted her first position as a Professional Massage Therapist at Gardner Wellness Center in 1992 before starting her own practice at Health Kneads Massage Therapy. Laurel was a Certified Member of Associated BodyWorkers and Massage Professionals from 1999 through 2009, and joined American Massage Therapy Association in November 2009 until present. She has also been an active member in good standing in the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork since 1994 and just recently earned the title of Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2014.
Laurel has volunteered her time by providing sports massage in annual local and statewide charity events including Ellen’s Race, Making Strides against Breast Cancer, Make-A-Wish (WAM – Wish-a-Mile 300-mile bicycle tour) and the MS 150 bike tour.
Laurel is attentive to the safety and comfort of her clients. She encourages good communication from them in regards to how much pressure they want during their session and what goals they hope to meet.
Ginger graduated from Blue Heron Academy of Medical Massage Therapy in 2008, She is a certified member of the American Massage Therapy Association and holds an active massage therapist license in the state of Michigan, she also received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Corner Stone University in 2015.
Ginger is accomplished in therapeutic, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, and hot stone massage. She is very passionate about customizing each massage to her client’s needs and focusing on alleviating chronic pain, and helping them to live their best life.
In her spare time Ginger enjoys spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband and their two children, Lydia and Lucas.
